About Us

Based in Littlehampton, West Sussex and with over 15 years’ experience in the industry, I founded EarthForce Lightning Protection with a view to offering competitive rates for lightning protection system installations, tests, repairs and upgrades.

Having worked as a steeplejack for several years prior to specialising in lightning protection, in 2010 I achieved the NVQ2 Lightning Protection Engineer qualification and worked on planning and fitting new systems to buildings and structures of all types and sizes, as well as testing existing systems and carrying out repairs as required, in compliance with the BS EN 62305 and for church buildings, the BS EN 6651 and BS CP 326.

I spent 7 years or so as an engineer then moved on to become a qualified Site Supervisor, managing and supporting engineers on site: monitoring and advising on health and safety, checking the quality of work, ensuring that standards were maintained and surpassed, and dealing  directly with on-site client enquiries or concerns.

Over the years I have worked on major projects for the Ministry of Defence and Crossrail (the new HS2), on churches and castles, high rise buildings including schools, colleges and office blocks, as well as on various residential systems.

Having then been promoted to client liaison and sales manager, I came off the tools and became more involved in the planning and quoting of works, acting as first point of contact for clients and benefiting from business and management coaching, which then led me to set up EarthForce Lightning Protection, offering competitive rates for lightning protection tests, repairs and upgrades.
